H2O Kayak Adventure Camp CoVID-19 Notice to Parents
Here at Gulf Coast Kayak the health and safety of our campers and staff remains our first priority! We are actively monitoring the ever evolving situation regarding COVID-19 and will continue to adapt and implement procedures for our camper’s safety and the safety of our staff.
We understand camp plays a vital role in the lives of so many children and their families which is why we are moving forward with plans to run this year’s summer camp with increased precautions. We ask for your patience as we work through this trying time.
Here are some of the measures we will be implementing in order to keep campers, their families and our staff safe.
- We will minimize the number of campers each week to a maximum of 14
- Take counselor’s and camper’s temperatures when they arrive to camp daily
- If camper’s are sick parents must alert staff and keep them home
- Our program staff will practice social distance and wear face coverings
- Parent Drop off and Pick up will be contact free
- Each camper MUST bring and take home all gear daily (no sharing food, drinks or gear). Designated bins will be given to each camper to place their items into daily
- We will have designated hand sanitizing stations and increase monitoring of sanitary practices.
- We will be cleaning and sanitizing all kayaks, paddle boards and gear before and after each use
- We will stay updated and adhere to CDC’s recommendations continually up until and throughout summer.
- Should camp be canceled, we will refund 100% of camp fees to camp families.
